Search and filter lists
You can use search, filter by and dynamic filters, individually or in combination, to find items in a list view, such as applications in the Applications page.
Search
Start typing in the search field to filter the list dynamically. The search scope varies according to where you are in Objective Build. Search scope is shown in the search field before you start typing. For example, Applications and Consents lists search for matches in id (application or consent number), address and description.
Filter By
Filter by applies collaboration filters to the list.
My applications / consents are applications that belong to your organisation and where you are a participant with Manage level access.
Dynamic filter
Use the filter option to apply common filter criteria appropriate to the list. With filters applied, you can also use Search and Filter by to narrow down results further to match an ID, address or description.
To apply a filter, select the filter option to open the Filters dialog and select from these dynamic filter groups:
-
Form - limit results to selected form types, such as Building Consent - Form 2
-
BCA - limit to selected councils, such as Hutt City Council
-
Status - limit to applications and consents in selected states, such as Draft or Submitted
-
Complexity - limit to council-applied complexity ratings, such as R1
The currently selected filters are added to the Applied filters area at the top of the Filters dialog.
Use multiple filter selections within a group to search for records that meet any of the selected filters. Use selections across groups to narrow the search for records that meet all the selected filters. For example, you might select filters to return all Building Consent - Form 2 records for a specific council in either a Lapsed, Refused or Rejected state.
The Applications and Consents lists show any applied filters above the list of results. You can easily remove any applied filters.
